The Tjin Edition builds have always included unique colors and small details that only a few may see. For example, the multi-color fading on the pinstripe fill done by, Styles.

The striping extends to the rear in 2-colors and are united by the initial of Neil Tjin’s kids.

The pinstriping is also carried to the rear of the spoiler.

The rear half of the Fusion has a dual exhaust set up that peeks out of the rear bumpers and finished with a black coating.

Equally impressive is the Tjin Edition and Baer calipers in green to accent the interior stitching.

This shot of the engine bay shows how nicely the Vortech Supercharger rests in the bay, which won GM’s Best New Product Award. Other details include the blue pinstripe that separates the orange and brown.

The Tjin Edition 1LE was award the Best Sports Car by the General Motors team!

Neil’s cars always cut an impressive figure on the SEMA Show floor, and this year will be no different. But, before we give up the goods, we sat down with Neil and asked him a bit about this build and what else he’s got up his sleeve for SEMA. So buckle up, folks, and get ready for the madness to begin!

From a broad perspective, can you tell us a little bit about what you have in store for SEMA this year?

Okay, talk to us a bit about the Camaro 1 LE you built How did the concept come about and what can you tell us about the car?

Right, so you’ve built a handful of Camaros now, what it is it about the Camaro platform that makes them such great cars to customize?

Tough question, but if you had to choose one thing as your signature when it comes to building cars, what would it be?

Pictured above is a custom Ford Fusion from Tjin Edition, seeking the perfect blend between performance and luxury. The exterior features a custom DuPont Beige paint job by L&R Auto Body that’s been further accented by a 3dCarbon lip kit, Webasto sunroof, and LightWurkZ headlights and fog lights. On the inside, Katzkin contributes with a redone interior while Scosche Audio handles the stereo. Also inside the Fusion cockpit is a Escort radar detector, GlowShift gauges, and Qstarz lap-timer.  As for performance, the team at Tjin Edition sought out Unique Fabrication and Vibrant for a custom turbo kit while Magnaflow gave the Fusion a sporty style with a side-exit exhaust system. Finishing off the Tjin Edition Fusion are custom 21-inch iForged Concave wheels wrapped with Falken tires, a Baer big brake upgrade, suspension from Pedders and Exotic Air cups.

3dCarbon will also present its own Fusion at SEMA that features a European influence. On the exterior will be a 3dCarbon body kit that gives the Fusion an all-new silhouette with elegance. A set of HRE wheels will adorn all four corners, making this Fusion an elegant build.

Perhaps the most radical of the four is the Fusion from Ice Nine Group, inspired by the V8 Supercars Series, which will finally be making its debut in America next year. Road-race styling and performance is the focus of the build, which is clearly sponsored by Monster Energy Drink given the car’s green exterior and graphics package.

Last but not least, is the MRT Performance Fusion which builds on the already sporty style of the sedan. Not only is the black-and-blue paint scheme aimed at capturing your attention, the matching blue Forgestar wheels give a hint as to what MRT has in store. The tuner has equipped the Fusion with a custom Eco-Flow exhaust while balancing style, chassis, and powertrain modifications. The result is a fun and stylish street car, geared to making the Fusion a top choice for sedan customers.

Last week my family and I took part in the inaugural 2012 Shanghai International Modified Auto Show and what a crazy experience it was for the Tjin Edition team.

Never in my wildest imagination did I dream that we would ever have a Tjin Edition vehicle on display half way across the world in China, but it goes to show that with support from great partners anything is possible.

We got to Shanghai last Wednesday and got ready for a seminar on Thursday with Peter M. and Linda S. from SEMA, and with the Shanghai media.

The seminar last approximately four hours, and I was able to talk to the media about our Tjin Edition builds, our partners products, and the automotive industry back in the states. I also had the opportunity to show them photos and videos of our Tjin Editoin builds, our partners products, and our Tjin Edition RoadShow booth.

On Friday it was media day and I have to say this was one of the best media days that we have ever be a part of. We did several interviews throughout the day talking about the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro, how it was modified and the partners products that were used in the car.

The coolest part was going back to the hotel on Friday and Saturday and seeing the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro on news stations across Shanghai. We did one interview with a news station that is broadcasted at 1.3 billion households. A few other interviews that we did reached 13 million homes, 2.5 million homes, and 1.3 million homes.

I will get video footage of the interviews that I did, so that I can share them with you guys later this week and so we can post them on our social networking sites.  We also got tons of photos and video from the show, which we will of course share with you guys in the upcoming days.

Another great marketing opportunity that we took advantage of while in China was we set up a Tjin Edition Weibo (similar to our stateside Twitter) account. Throughout the show we posted updates and photos from the show and of the Camaro on Weibo.

The show was open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday we spent the day talking to several thousand automotive students about the Tjin Edition Camaro. This was a wonderful opportunity for us to interact with the Chinese spectators, fellow up and coming enthusiast, the media and several government officials. They allowed us to start the car, which allowed us to showcase the Vortech supercharger and MagnaFlow exhaust. We were also able to showcase the in-car-entertainment and blast some tunes through the Realm Audio mids and highs and subwoofers. And lastly we were able to lower and raise the car with the digital air suspension, thus showcasing the suspension, brakes, wheels and tires.

Speaking of government officials, on Saturday we had the opportunity to show the former mayor and current mayor the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro. They were able to get up close and personal to the car and ask us questions about the modifications that were done to the car. We got word as we were cleaning up the car and getting it ready for its trip back to the states, that the mayors said that we had one of the most impressive cars they had ever seen in person, and that the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro was the most impressive car at the show…a true modified vehicle.

This was an incredible blessing, and marketing opportunity for Tjin Edition and we are extremely grateful for the backing and friendship that we have from our incredible partners.  We are already in talks about next years Shanghai Modified Auto Show, and hopefully we will have a new Tjin Edition vehicle with your amazing products on display at the 2013 Shanghai Modified Auto Show.
